My Place Hotel St. George

I am so excited to tell you about a fun trip we took last month…as a family! It was so much fun to be able to head south to some *slightly* warmer weather and spend time together as a family. I love St. George, we have gone there a few times and always want to go back! It is only about a 4 hour drive from us, so it really is the perfect getaway spot for us.

This trip we decided to stay at the My Place Hotel, St. George location. We loved the room sizes, the pool (which is heated!), and the location of it. They have an affordable breakfast option that gets delivered to your room, which was a big deciding factor as well! The girls loved the pool so much, it has a cute little palm tree fountain and some other water things that they really enjoyed. It has a great, large outdoor area that is perfect for just hanging out or having dinner.

Pit Stop at Meadow Hot Springs

Has anyone heard of Meadow Hot Springs? Or hot springs in general? Basically they are just different sized holes in the ground, that are naturally filled with cool to hot water. At the ones we went to in Meadow, UT (aka middle of nowhere), there are 3 different ones…we only went to one, which was the hottest one. The water is so clear, it really was like a big bathtub!  For being a Saturday afternoon, I was expecting them to be a lot more busy than they were. You have to drive down a long(ish) dirt road, and then you can park about 100 yards away and walk, or go down another dirt road filled with major potholes to get closer. We braved the potholes because I’m lazy haha.

This whole thing was Troy’s idea, shocking, I know! He was really excited when Saylor said she would get in with him, because she was unsure at first. You really are in the middle of nowhere, so you have beautiful views all around you.

The water was surprisingly clear. This one had a rope that you could hold on to and have it guide you all the way to the bottom, that is attached to an anchor. Troy thought it was about 25 feet deep at it’s deepest spot. Creepy!

You drive through the town of Meadow, UT to get there, and below is a picture of their post office. It is the teeniest, cutest town ever!

Where are your favorite hot springs? Any other ones in Utah we should know about? Have a great weekend!

xo,

Robyn
