Hi all! Remi turns 6 months on Saturday (what?!), so starting her on solids has been on my mind the last few weeks. We choose to skip cereals and just introduce her around 6 months. I had been looking for a few things to make feeding her easier, and I am here to share a few of my favorite things that I have found!
First is this E-Z Squee-z. I have loved this. It is a soft, squeezable silicon bottle that promotes self feeding and is easy for little hands to hold. I simply pour a small amount of pureed food in it and let Remi figure it out. We have used it a few times and it is cute to see her figure out bringing it to her mouth and chewing/sucking on it.
My older daughter Saylor has liked using this silicone placemat lately. It sticks to flat surfaces, is dishwasher safe, and she really likes the different sections. Once Remi starts eating more/different foods I will use this for her as well. It is really cute and convenient.
Last thing that is perfect for teething and introducing foods is this Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Tray. I love these! They are brilliantly designed. The handle that you hold is the perfect size, and they have a ring catcher thing around the actual popsicle part that is design to catch the drips as it melts. Such a good idea.
Starting foods with you baby is sort of bittersweet, it means they are growing, but it is also fun to have them try new things and learn. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @robynmeacham and enter my giveaway with Nuby!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have realized that I completely missed Remi’s 4 month old picture. Second kid problems, and I right? Seeing as she is 5 months in just 10 days, I really should just do it so I at least have it for memory sake…haha!
I can’t believe this is my 100th post. I feel like I go through phases where I feel like I have found my little corner in this blogging/Internet world, and then I’ll go through phases where, being completely honest, I am just completely lazy. This actually takes a lot of work and time, now a days I either feel brain dead from being so tired, or I literally just don’t have the time of day to sit and drum up some content.
Anyways, my sweet little Remi isn’t actually very sweet. LOL, I kid, she is just a hard baby. I keep telling myself that she is going to just grow out of it and magically be a great sleeper and not so needy, but I am still waiting for that day. We love her so much and she really does add so much to our home. She has been drooling so much lately and is rolling all over the place. It is fun to watch her grow and learn new things. She is reacting to things and starting to grab and hold things, and bring them to her mouth.
Remi (and Saylor) have especially liked this plush toy octopus from Nuby…it has a lot of fun different features that they like playing with together. Different noises, textures, things like that. It is a cute, fun little toy. I can’t believe I’m going to have a baby that starts breaking teeth soon, I don’t know if I’m ready haha. This cute teething mitt has been well loved recently too, Remi likes chewing on the soft top part.
Remi is so cute! She’s napping right now (finally), so looking at photos of her makes me miss her…not enough to wake her up though! 🙂 Happy Monday!
