SHINE COSMETICS intro & my favorite products

Hi! I feel like I have been so MIA lately. The holidays were crazy, Troy’s been crazy busy with work, and we all have been sick for the past month or more it seems like! Blah. Hopefully things start settling down here soon. I wanted to talk to you guys about some of my current favorite makeup products from Shine Cosmetics that I have been using the past little while.

A few months ago, I put on an influencer night with some of my girlfriends, and Shine was one of our biggest sponsors and contributors. That was the first time I had heard of them, and since then, I have been using their LipLast. I like that it wears well without drying my lips out.

Healing Acne with Trophy Skin

I have suffered with acne for most of my life. Can anyone else relate? It is the worst! And as I am getting older, it is getting worse. UGH. I never thought that that was even a thing…until it became my life. I’ve tried anything and everything to help my skin, and I have found some things to help keep my breakouts *mostly* at bay, but I still find I get these red marks and little scars that tend to stick around for so long.

I was excited when I found THIS product and especially when I read the reviews. It seemed like this machine actually WORKED for people, and is really safe and effective. The BlueMD uses LED technology to safely and effectively eradicate the acne-causing bacteria that cause blemishes and blackheads.

Collaborations & Influence Sites, Tips & Tricks

***Updated 3/1***

Hi! So I get a lot of questions regarding collaborations and that sort of thing, so I thought I would make a whole blog post about what I have learned, and some influencer sites that I use and my experience with them. I am in no way an expert, but I have enjoyed my experience with some and have gotten fun collaborations, so I wanted to share!

-My first tip is don’t be afraid to reach out to shops and brands that you want to work with. The worst they could say to you is no thank you, so I always say go for it!

Christmas Traditions & Remembering Christ

I can’t believe Christmas is almost here! When you become a parent, it seems like holidays and such really sneak up on you. As Saylor is getting older, she is 4.5 now, I am realizing the importance of teaching her the true meaning of Christmas…that it isn’t just about Santa and getting gifts. (which as a 4 year old is honestly the best part!)

I was recently introduced to THIS website that focuses on Christmas traditions that are centered around Christ. They create crafts and things to do each night as family to remember Christ. THIS 25 Days of Christ set prompts you and your family to gather each night in December and focus on one part of the life of Jesus. It comes with a small ornament for each day to be a symbol of a story.

Stocking Stuffer & Gift Idea with BleachBright

Hi! We all love white teeth, right? I drink (a lot of) diet coke and can sometimes notice my teeth looking dull or not as white as they used to be. I use whitening toothpaste but sometimes I need a little bit more.

I was recently introduced to Bleach Bright Whitening Systems and have been using it for a few days. I am planning on using it every night for about 10 days. What I have liked about the system I have been using is that it hasn’t made my teeth sensitive and it hasn’t hurt my gums at all! For me, that is hard to find.

Starting Solids with Nuby

Hi all! Remi turns 6 months on Saturday (what?!), so starting her on solids has been on my mind the last few weeks. We choose to skip cereals and just introduce her around 6 months. I had been looking for a few things to make feeding her easier, and I am here to share a few of my favorite things that I have found!

First is this E-Z Squee-z. I have loved this. It is a soft, squeezable silicon bottle that promotes self feeding and is easy for little hands to hold. I simply pour a small amount of pureed food in it and let Remi figure it out. We have used it a few times and it is cute to see her figure out bringing it to her mouth and chewing/sucking on it.

Jord Watch Goodness

Hi all! If you’ve been here for a while you might know that I have collaborated with Jord Wood Watches before. I love their uniqueness and style, and my husband Troy really likes them too. Which is a really difficult to do…he is very picky! They match with pretty much anything, and they hold up very well.

I also am a big fan of packaging and presentation, and Jord watches never cease to amaze me. They come in this beautiful wooden box, on a pillow, with a cute little J tag. In the package is also a pen type thing for keeping your watch beautiful, and a polishing cloth.

SHOPKO ROUND 2

I am excited to share a few other great finds I recently found at Shopko. I really love skincare and a good face mask, so I really wanted to pick a few I could use. My 4 year old daughter is also starting to get into doing fun, girly things like that with me, so I knew we could enjoy this together.

Saylor picked out this Nugg Exfoliating Face Mask to try out first. It has a light scent, lightly exfoliating, and left our skin feeling so soft and smooth. It was so cute watching her look at herself in the mirror and then touch her face after it was off.

Baby Shower Gift Idea’s for the New Mom

Hi all! I am sure we have all felt the pressure of finding a great gift for a new mom. Especially if you don’t have kids, it can be hard to know what is really needed and useful. Well I am here to let you in on a few products that are a sure hit.

(this face can be deceiving LOL)

I know when I was a new mom, creating my first baby registry, I didn’t think about putting things like diaper rash creams on it. There are many choices, and I didn’t even think about my baby getting a diaper rash, nonetheless what I would even do for it! After Saylor came, I quickly realized I needed something! Newborns poop literally all the time and their skin is so sensitive, it is pretty much inevitable. I so wish I had some Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® to help with my littles sore bum.

Shopping & Gift Ideas with Shopko

Who remembers Shopko?! Growing up we had one in my small town, and it was always a stop on my Black Friday shopping trips with my mom. As I got older, I sort of out grew it, and stopped finding things that I liked, if I’m being completely honest. Recently I was re-introduced to Shopko, and specifically the fact that they have added many new brands and new looks. Upon looking at their website, I immediately found a good amount of things I liked and would love to have! Score! I purchased many different things from different departments, including this cute top shown below from their new line A&I. I was also excited to see It’s a 10 on their list of new brands…I love their hair products!
