THE EVER ANNOYING ACNE.

Does anyone else suffer from acne? I didn’t really start having it until just over a year ago. And let me tell you, it is the worst. Not many people know just how bad it really was, thankfully right now it is 75% better than what it was. I’ll go more into depth in a later post. I was getting bad hormonal acne around my chin, acne all over my back, it was so bad. It made me so self-conscious. I still am, to be honest. I only wear certain clothes, very very rarely have no face makeup on, it is horrible! I have tried everything. Not eating certain foods, this and that face wash, this cream, that pill, everything besides Accutane, I’ve done it! I’m here to tell you that it can get better! Honestly I am not positive if it is time, or products, or a combination of both that have helped, but something has changed. I’ve been religious to a few products over the last year, and I’m here to share.

Savvy Curls Review!

Who has heard of Savvy Curls? If you haven’t, I feel sorry for you! But don’t worry, I am here to give you the honest truth about them, and to show you my results.

Savvy Curls are hair wraps made with thermal retentive and curl forming materials that work in conjunction with the heat zone on your scalp to produce “no heat” curls. It is genius! I was intrigued and knew I had to give it a try! My hair doesn’t hold a curl very well, so I was very curious to see if this product would make a difference.

Friday Shopping Haul

I had a pretty good day shopping today…but then again, when isn’t shopping a good thing? I got some sweet deals and I wanted to share! I hit up Nordstrom Rack and Ulta, located conveniently down the street from me! You know I came home and price matched everything, to be sure I’m getting the best price.

Here are my goodies from the Rack…

I’ve been wanting a neutral colored cross body, and found just what I was looking for in this Kate Spade!

I found these ADORABLE gold sea wees, size 1, for only $10! No, I’m not pregnant, and they definitely don’t fit Saylor, but I had to have them at that price! The best I could find online was at diapers.com…I found code RMNDIAPERS20, and if you spend more than $49 they’ll ship for free.

A Few DISNEYLAND Tips!

For those of you who follow me on IG, (@robynmeacham), you know that we LOVE Disneyland. We have annual passes and were super sad when we moved to Utah. Lucky for us, we have family in Southern California that we visit often so we are still able to use them! It has been so fun watching Saylor grow and become familiar with characters and rides, and get excited about things.

Today I’m going to talk about a few of my personal “must do’s” when going to D-Land. I am in no way a Disney expert, but I like to think I know a little more than some! 🙂

BRITAX SALE!

If anyone is like me, you find yourself scouring the internet for things you don’t really need. I love finding a good deal, especially with baby gear!

Britax has been our go to car seat brand since Saylor was a baby. I like the way they look, but more importantly, they are among the safest out there. Their new “click tight” bases can even last 10 years!

I found a great deal for the Britax B-Agile B Safe travel system in Sapphire on diapers.com, on sale for only about $335 shipped! Use code THOUSANDS at checkout, and you’ll get up to $35 off.

Monday Must-Have’s!

I am excited to do my first “Monday Must-Have’s” post today. Each Monday (hopefully), I will share a few things I am currently loving. These things could be fashion related, beauty related, food, things for Saylor…pretty much anything. Today I’m going to go in the BEAUTY direction.

-First things first, my favorite current obsession, the Makeup Eraser. My sister told me about this and it sounded like a lazy girls dream. You get it wet and wipe your face with it, and it removes all makeup. No soap or face wash needed. GLORIOUS! It is machine washable and you get tons of use out of it. I use it about 4 times between each wash. I bought mine at Sephora.

Springtime at the Capitol

Hi guys! If you are a Utah local, I am assuming you have been to the Utah capitol building in downtown Salt Lake City in the springtime. Since we just moved here (in January), I was unaware that it was a THING.

I was lucky enough to win a mini photoshoot with the amazing photographer Kenzie D. (@kennydawn on IG), and she told us to meet her on the north side of the capitol. Boy were we in for a treat! It was a beautiful day and the trees were in full bloom.

It is funny to move somewhere where the downtown area is somewhere you actually want to go and hang out, and not feel creeped out or scared the whole time you are there (read, downtown LA). Here are a few snapshots from the day, professional & not.

Our Favorite Shoes…and a GIVEAWAY!

If you know us at all, you know that we love our Freshly Picked moccs. They were the first pair of shoes I had gotten for Saylor, and we wore those babies for a YEAR straight. She had tiny feet as a baby, and they literally were the only shoes that stayed on, weren’t ginormous, and were so cute! Her first pair was PLATINUM and they matched everything! Highly recommend that color.

Freshly Picked is a small (well not “small” in the sense of it being little anymore) business out of Provo, UT. A hard working, determined mama started this company all by herself with a few random scraps of leather and has grown this company to be pretty much a household name. This company gives back so much, is always up to do a giveaway, and hosts warehouse sales around the nation so we can score awesome deals if you don’t like paying full price!

The Ultimate Debate…

…between Swig and Sodalicious. That’s right, I’m here to let you know which is better. Well, maybe not better, but I’m going to break down the differences in drinks, cookies, price, and service!

Before moving to Utah, the closest thing we had in California to a “cutesy drive through personalized soda stand with cookies” was Sonic, ha. So you can understand my excitement. I love cookies! And I love Diet Coke with flavoring! Every basic mom’s dream! We moved just a few miles away from a Swig, with a Sodalicious not much further away. Because Swig was in my path of driving, that is where I would frequent.  One day I had the brilliant idea to compare the 2 places. People up here seem fiercely loyal to either one or the other.  I had to dissect the differences and figure out what differences, if any, there were. Aren’t you so happy I am doing this for you?
