Gearing Up For Nursing with Bamboobies

Here I am with only 5 weeks left in my pregnancy, and I can’t believe it! It feels almost surreal, because this time around it has DRAGGED. The nerves and anxiety are slightly starting to creep up, especially because I have nothing prepared. I should probably get a car seat! One thing I’m certain about is breastfeeding, and I can’t believe I’m almost there again. I was so lucky with Saylor and nursing, we had a great experience and had no issues. I can only hope that with this little girl it is the same.

Hatch Baby Rest

If you are like me, you need white noise to sleep. Troy and I have to have a fan going all night long, or we (I) can’t sleep! I don’t know if it was smart or not, but we passed our white noise necessity down to Saylor. She sleeps with a fan as well, or whatever app we can come up with if we are traveling. When I discovered the Hatch Baby Rest, I knew I would love it! It is sleek and innovative, and has a lot more functions than the fan we have been using. What I loved even more about it, is that there is an app you can use to set a timer for it, control the volume and colors…pretty much anything. And it is all customizable. Totally cool!

The Best Sheets Ever!

I am about to change your world…especially if you have kids. Not kidding! If you have never heard of QuickZip Sheets, go visit their site now. QuickZip sheets are a 2 piece fitted sheet. Once installed, the base remains around the sides of the mattress and never has to be removed. The zip on sheet then zips off and on SO EASILY. It is seriously so quick and convenient. Changing sheets now takes less than a minute, rather than many minutes. The struggle of trying to get the fitted sheet around the mattress is a thing of the past! Read HERE for more on how it works. I promise you this is revolutionary and great for teaching kids how to help out! Saylor loved being able to change her own sheet and zipper it all the way around.

Easy 2 Ingredient DIY Slime Recipe!

Another slime recipe! I know, I know…but it is SO popular right now, so easy, and it keeps my toddler entertained for so long. Honestly she played for almost an hour and a half by herself this afternoon after we made it. Can I get a hallelujah?! If you are a mom, you know how nice a little quiet time is. Anyways, I am going to tell you the recipe I used to make my slime, and how I will make it next time. I probably made a few “mistakes” (the slime still turned out totally fine), but next time I make it I will do a few things differently.

Girly Accessories!

As most women do, and especially those with daughters, you can imagine that we love our accessories over here! Give me all the cute bracelets and bows and anything else girly and cutesy. Having a daughter to dress up is THE BEST and I can’t wait to have another little one here in a few months. I’m totally going to be that Mom that dresses them the same…so sue me?! 🙂

I recently discovered Gems by Laura and immediately fell in love. All her pieces are well made, timeless, and beautiful. She is also local (to me), which I love!

Toddler Meal Ideas with Amara

I know I have touched on this before, but I *try* to be semi healthy and instill good habits in Saylor. I’ll be the first to admit that I love sweets and don’t ever deprive myself, but I always do eat a good amount of fruits and veggies and be sure to drink plenty of water.

When I discovered Amara, I was immediately interested. Especially since I’m having another baby, I’m starting to think about baby food (what?) and things like that. Amara focuses on healthy food, and not much else. They don’t add anything you can’t pronounce, and it comes in a convenient packet. They also have discovered a new way to offer baby food…freeze dried! Super cool. It locks in nutrients that can otherwise get lost.

Purple Posie Designs

Hi! Guess what I realized today? That it’s been just over a year that I have been blogging here. I can’t believe it has been a year and I’ve had so much fun collaborating with companies and getting to know other bloggers.

Today I wanted to share with you Purple Posie Designs. They create beautiful handmade items such as keepsake journals and journal books. They are made with so much love and detail, and make a great gift. When I was younger I was into scrapbooking, and loved making things like these for different events in my life like high school graduation or Christmas one year. It is such a nice way to store and show your memories. They are very personal, and such an easy way to create and store your memories!

Double Stroller Buying Guide with Baby Cubby!

Since I can now publicly talk about being pregnant and having another baby come May, I can talk about all the fun things that go along with that, yay! Enter, double strollers. Do I really need one? Saylor will be about 4 by the time this baby comes, and I honestly don’t use a stroller a whole lot with her. I’ve thought, well I could just get one that has a kick board for her, I plan on carrying the baby for as long as I can get away with it…all these thoughts that I’m sure second time moms have.

Easy DIY 2 Ingredient Cloud Dough!

I found something super easy to do with Saylor…and wanted to share! I’m a big fan of “art projects” that call for things I already have at home or in the pantry. That’s why this cloud dough was a no brainer! Here is the recipe I used:

4 cups flour

1/2 cup vegetable oil

optional: a few drops of essential oil for smell

All you need is a big bowl for mixing. Pour the flour in the bowl, create a crater in the middle, add the oil, and if you choose, the essential oil drops. Start mixing!

The Perfect Gifts for Your Littles

Hi! If you are like me, and still looking for gifts…look no further! I have rounded up a few of my FAVE things for littles. We’re talking 2 and under.

My first favorite things to gift are books. Who doesn’t love books?! Saylor has shown interest in them since she was tiny, and I love that. What is even better than books, is a book subscription! What I love about Bookroo is that your subscription is based on age. You pick 0-2 and 2-6. Pictured here is the 0-2 option, and they are board books which is great! You get 3 books each time for 0-2, and 2 books for 2-6. Use code ROBYMEAC for a surprise at checkout!
