Purple Posie Designs

Hi! Guess what I realized today? That it’s been just over a year that I have been blogging here. I can’t believe it has been a year and I’ve had so much fun collaborating with companies and getting to know other bloggers.

Today I wanted to share with you Purple Posie Designs. They create beautiful handmade items such as keepsake journals and journal books. They are made with so much love and detail, and make a great gift. When I was younger I was into scrapbooking, and loved making things like these for different events in my life like high school graduation or Christmas one year. It is such a nice way to store and show your memories. They are very personal, and such an easy way to create and store your memories!

I love that there are blank pages to doodle and write notes on.

Saylor loves “reading” the stories and loves all the fun things to play with on the pages. As she gets older I’ll have her doodle up the story books 🙂 Shop all their cute stuff HERE and follow them on Instagram HERE!

Maternity Style with PinkBlush

Hi! Happy Sunday! I hope you all have had a nice, relaxing day thus far. Let’s talk about maternity wear. For starters I should probably admit that my “pregnancy style” has consisted of leggings, oversized sweatshirts, and Uggs. I’m not kidding, LOL! I should probably be embarrassed, but it’s so cold here and with my growing belly nothing fits right anymore. At least on Sunday’s I try to give my favorite leggings a break, and wear something more stylish.

If you are pregnant, or have been pregnant recently, I’m sure you have heard of Pink Blush Maternity. They are a company that brings us affordable, comfortable, and cute clothes. I recently got this floral maxi dress from them, and I’m in love! I’ve never been a big fan of maxi dresses on me, being tall and whatnot, I felt like they never looked right on me. But when I’m pregnant that all changes haha. My dress is about 2″ longer than some of the other maxi dresses out there, so I jumped on it and I’m glad I did. I will also be able to wear it while nursing, yay.

Here are a couple of my other favorite things right now:

This lacey number is so pretty.

I love this blue color, but this maxi dress comes in many colors.

I love the scalloped hem on this one!

I really like the shimmer on this one.

And I love the chiffon sleeves on this one!

If you follow me on IG (and if you don’t, you should @robynmeacham), then you are here for the giveaway. For an extra 3 entries, head to Pink Blush and leave me a comment on what piece of clothing you would buy if you won!  Remember Pink Blush for all your cute pregnancy clothing needs!

Healthy Habits with RAWberry Smoothies

Hey all! If you follow me on Instagram (@robynmeacham), you know that I have been working with @rawberry_smoothies for a few weeks now. I was excited about this not just because I love smoothies, but because being pregnant has made me extra aware of the added nutrients I should be getting. Starting my day off with a smoothie packed full of healthy things ensures that I am doing something right.

Secondly, Saylor LOVES them…and normally isn’t the best eater. She is picky, and while she likes fruit, veggies are a whole other story. I love that I can sneak in kale or spinach, or even things like dates(what!?), into something she actually likes, likes helping me make, and it isn’t something I am forcing her to eat. Win!

Another feature I love about their company is that everything is prepackaged, and pre-portioned to the exact perfect amount. No waste! And they allow me to try combinations of things I would have never thought to have try! Think pears, dates, agave, grapes…so many fun things! Also, everything comes delivered right to your door! Hello, convenience.

RAWberry is a subscription service. Each week you choose whether you want a 3, 4, or 5 day plan. Each day makes enough for 2-16 oz. smoothies. It ships for free, and like I mentioned above, gets delivered right to your doorstep every Sunday. You can cancel, pause, or stop at any time. Right now they are delivering between Ogden and Utah County. If you are outside of those regions, let them know you are interested, as they plan to expand soon!

I truly recommend and have enjoyed RAWberry. I challenge you to be a little bit healthier this year, and this is the perfect way to start!

How to Combat Dry Hands in the Winter

Does anyone else get reallllly dry skin in the winter time? I do! Not just on my hand either, everywhere! I’ll scratch myself raw…but that is another story for a different day. Today I’m talking about how I keep my hands nice and soft, instead of dry, cracked, and even bleeding.

My first must have is a great scrub, made with a good oil base that will remain on your hands to moisturize. Sometimes scrubbing my hands too much can make them worse if I am using a crappy scrub, so this is key. This Vanilla Cream Latte Scrub from Spa Thyme is everything I look for in a scrub. It’s made up of ingredients like almond and coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and then a few natural ingredients to make this the BEST SMELLING THING EVER. I promise there is no exaggeration on that, either. Bonus, it is super affordable too!

My next key thing is a thick, but not greasy, cream…preferably unscented or a light light scent. I’ve found that in this Dream Cream from Tubby Todd. I’ve used this for over a year I want to say, and I have repurchased twice. I love it. It is the perfect consistency, smell, and really leaves my hands feeling protected and moisturized. Try it!

Don’t worry, I have another jar! Lather it on thick.

Because I wash my hands so much, I do this once a day. That might be more that enough for some, but for me it is the perfect amount! Here’s to getting rid of dry hands this winter…for good!

Double Stroller Buying Guide with Baby Cubby!

Since I can now publicly talk about being pregnant and having another baby come May, I can talk about all the fun things that go along with that, yay! Enter, double strollers. Do I really need one? Saylor will be about 4 by the time this baby comes, and I honestly don’t use a stroller a whole lot with her. I’ve thought, well I could just get one that has a kick board for her, I plan on carrying the baby for as long as I can get away with it…all these thoughts that I’m sure second time moms have.

36dc66f072f69068abbfae2ce33462e8-large

A couple weeks ago I went into the Baby Cubby to try and make my decision and answer questions I had. If you are local to Utah, I’m sure you have visited or heard of Baby Cubby.  I love visiting them as opposed to a big box retailer.  They really focus on trying to be a resource to us parents, and not just sell us “stuff”. They make a point to help us when we feel overwhelmed about becoming a parent. The team at Baby Cubby is made up of parents who have been there, so they are passionate about encouraging, inspiring, and reminding parents how amazing we are and how important our role is. They carry the safest baby gear, and provide a place for a fun shopping experience. They price match and offer free shipping online on orders of $49 and are very engaged with their customers. You can find out more about who they are and what they do, HERE.

Going into the Baby Cubby, I sort of have an idea of what I liked and what I didn’t like. I knew I didn’t want a side by side stroller; I have seen friends struggle getting them through doorways and crowds. They just don’t seem convenient for me! I tested one out in the store and was actually surprised how EASY it was to maneuver, so don’t completely rule it out for yourself until you have tested it!

img_6633 This is the Baby Jogger City Mini GT Double Stroller.

My top 3 I wanted to checkout were the UppaBaby, Britax B-Agile, and the City Select.

img_6607       img_6634

They all have similar frames and similar wheel sizes and similar canopies. The City Select seems so long, and surprisingly didn’t drive as easily as I was expecting, considering how popular it is! I checked that one off my list.

img_6622

The UPPAbaby Vista double stroller is definitely a luxury stroller, and has the price tag to come along with it. I really like the look of it and it seems there is a bit more leg room for the back seat. I learned that you can buy the stroller as a set, meaning with the second seat, kick board, etc…instead of buying everything separate, which may save you money in the long run.

img_6604  My personal fave…the Britax B-Ready.

I was so, so impressed with this Britax stroller! They have a new model that I was excited to checkout. I like the idea of having the second seat down below, instead of out front. Saylor really liked that, too! The handle bar moves up and down, and not just in and out (if that makes sense), and I love that. We have always used Britax car seats as well, and would use their infant car seat with this for the new baby as well.

img_6636

The Baby Cubby has also created a blog titled How to Pick the Perfect Double Stroller, which you can read HERE. They are the pros, so I suggest reading it. I haven’t made my decision quite yet, since I still have a few months to decide. Let me know what you guys have used and love! I would love some advice! Thanks Baby Cubby for sponsoring this post and making shopping for a little fun and educational.

Easy DIY 2 Ingredient Cloud Dough!

I found something super easy to do with Saylor…and wanted to share! I’m a big fan of “art projects” that call for things I already have at home or in the pantry. That’s why this cloud dough was a no brainer! Here is the recipe I used:

4 cups flour

1/2 cup vegetable oil

optional: a few drops of essential oil for smell

img_2974      img_2977

All you need is a big bowl for mixing. Pour the flour in the bowl, create a crater in the middle, add the oil, and if you choose, the essential oil drops. Start mixing!

img_2978 img_2980 img_2981 img_2984 img_2985 img_2987

Saylor started mixing with a spoon, but as she got more brave, she moved on to using her hands. I found that I needed to add more oil to make it bind together better, so I just eyed it as needed. This is a great sensory activity! Once it was mixed together enough, we dumped it on the counter and she went to town.

Be mindful that this is fairly messy…it’ll get on clothes and because it is a little crumbly, it’ll get everywhere! Clean up is easy, though. 🙂

img_2996 img_2997 img_2998 img_2999 img_3004

The dough will store for a long time in an air tight container…so you can get lots of use out of one batch. You can also double the batch if you want more, or cut it in half if you want less. That’s what I like about these things, is there are no right or wrong way on how to do it!

Let me know if you try it out, and if you add anything fun!

The Perfect Gifts for Your Littles

Hi! If you are like me, and still looking for gifts…look no further! I have rounded up a few of my FAVE things for littles. We’re talking 2 and under.

img_2933         img_2934

My first favorite things to gift are books. Who doesn’t love books?! Saylor has shown interest in them since she was tiny, and I love that. What is even better than books, is a book subscription! What I love about Bookroo is that your subscription is based on age. You pick 0-2 and 2-6. Pictured here is the 0-2 option, and they are board books which is great! You get 3 books each time for 0-2, and 2 books for 2-6. Use code ROBYMEAC for a surprise at checkout!

img_2926         img_2927

Next are swaddles from Embe.Company. These muslin swaddles are so, so soft and the perfect size! They come in cute patterns, I personally love this vines one! These aren’t just for babies, they can be used for toddlers as they grow!

img_2924         img_2925

Last, but not least, are Freshly Picked Moccs! These will always be on my list. They were the first pair of shoes that Saylor wore, and at 3 years old, she still wears them! (not the same pair of course, haha). They come in the best colors and patterns, and actually stay on your babies feet! Total must have, and a great gift.

What are your go to gifts? I hope you check out the 3 of my faves above! Happy shopping!

Gift Ideas with Nystrom Goods

Hey guys! If you are like me, you tend to put your Christmas shopping off until December hits. I don’t know what it is, but I hate hoarding gifts! Anyways, the past few years I have made it a point to try and shop small, and support local businesses for at least some of the gifts that I give. This year I stumbled on Nystrom Goods IG page, and instantly fell in love! They create unique, modern, concrete planters that just add the perfect touch to every home.

img_2872 img_2883  img_2878

Here are 2 that I received. I love them and love the little touch they add to my kitchen! They are very sturdy and well made, that is apparent as soon as you open your package. I found the perfect sized pre-planted little succulents from Lowes and just dropped them right in!

Here are a few of my other faves from their site:

ridges-sand-1 Love this larger planter.

bsmall-pattern-grey-planted2 Love this small, textured one.

flutes-setof3-1 And I love this set of 3, which is perfect for a gift!

img_2876

I also wanted to point out that I have finally started replacing light fixtures in our home, YAY! I still need to find the perfect backsplash.

Anyways, I hope you guys check out Nystrom Goods, and that I have introduced you to a small shop to enjoy! Be sure to follow them on IG over at @nystromgoods also, for more planter pictures as well as design ideas.

Pit Stop at Meadow Hot Springs

Has anyone heard of Meadow Hot Springs? Or hot springs in general? Basically they are just different sized holes in the ground, that are naturally filled with cool to hot water. At the ones we went to in Meadow, UT (aka middle of nowhere), there are 3 different ones…we only went to one, which was the hottest one. The water is so clear, it really was like a big bathtub!  For being a Saturday afternoon, I was expecting them to be a lot more busy than they were. You have to drive down a long(ish) dirt road, and then you can park about 100 yards away and walk, or go down another dirt road filled with major potholes to get closer. We braved the potholes because I’m lazy haha.

img_5529  img_5527  img_5531

This whole thing was Troy’s idea, shocking, I know! He was really excited when Saylor said she would get in with him, because she was unsure at first. You really are in the middle of nowhere, so you have beautiful views all around you.

img_5536  img_5545  img_5540

The water was surprisingly clear. This one had a rope that you could hold on to and have it guide you all the way to the bottom, that is attached to an anchor. Troy thought it was about 25 feet deep at it’s deepest spot. Creepy!

img_5541     img_5547

You drive through the town of Meadow, UT to get there, and below is a picture of their post office. It is the teeniest, cutest town ever!

img_5548  img_5544  img_5526

Where are your favorite hot springs? Any other ones in Utah we should know about? Have a great weekend!

Are you an Influenster?

Have you guys heard of Influenster? If you haven’t, you are seriously behind on the times! If you are anything like me, I love getting free samples and I love trying new things. What Influenster is is an online community made up of shoppers (you and I) that test out new products in exchange for honest and fair online reviews, and in return get to stay on top of the current trends! These products can be anything from beauty to food related, and everything in between. You take surveys to show what you are interested in, and the more active you are on social media, the better chance you have of getting good stuff!

Here are some of the things I have recently gotten. These are from 2 boxes, and are not everything that came in each box. Some things I use up right away, and other things last me a while!

img_2777

The Ole Henriksen box I got was amazing. Such high quality products. The other stuff was from the #ESVoxBox which had so many goodies in it. I particularly love the mascara! And Troy loved the protein powder sample, lol.
