Afternoon Fun!

{Thank you Jane for sponsoring this post!}

Have you guys heard of jane.com? It is a daily deal site where you can score some really awesome things for such a good price! I’ve been a customer for years, and I’m excited to share what I love about them with you. Jane offers daily deals that run for only 72 hours and can be up to 80% off. I love that they continuously have new products and if you snooze, you lose! I have purchased all sorts of things from them…clothing, stuff for Saylor, bath and home items…you name it, they probably carry it or will at some point. Today Saylor and I spent time outside playing with these little pebble things that grow when you place them in water. I don’t even know what they are called, haha, but I’m sure you know what I am talking about.

The directions were in another language so I wasn’t exactly sure how much water to add, but that is what’s nice about these things, you can’t really mess them up. We would check them every 20/30 minutes and add a little bit more water to help them grow.

These have been entertaining her all night! I just hope I don’t find them all over my house over the next few days…oops!

I also got a really cute floral shirt from Jane.com that isn’t available anymore, but if you check right now they have so many cute tee’s that are perfect for summer. Such good prices too, you seriously can’t pass up their deals!

Happy Tuesday!

Belly Armor Blanket

Today I am excited to share with you a product I discovered while I was pregnant…and I so wish I had discovered it before! Belly Armor carries products that shield against everyday radiation, with up to 99.9% effectiveness. That is incredible! I know I am not the only pregnant lady who sits with her laptop propped up on her belly. When using a Belly Blanket, mom and baby are protected from non-ionizing radiation that can potentially be harmful.

Belly Armor has partnered with Healthy Child Healthy World to help address public health issues that affect our children, and empower parents in protecting their children from harmful environmental hazards. For every Healthy Child Blanket sold (pictured), $10 will be donated to the non-profit organization Healthy Child Healthy World. These products are safe from toxic chemicals, common allergens, heavy metals, and are completely 100% safe to use during pregnancy!

Let’s do our part and protect our babies in any way we can!

Hatch Baby Rest

If you are like me, you need white noise to sleep. Troy and I have to have a fan going all night long, or we (I) can’t sleep! I don’t know if it was smart or not, but we passed our white noise necessity down to Saylor. She sleeps with a fan as well, or whatever app we can come up with if we are traveling. When I discovered the Hatch Baby Rest, I knew I would love it! It is sleek and innovative, and has a lot more functions than the fan we have been using. What I loved even more about it, is that there is an app you can use to set a timer for it, control the volume and colors…pretty much anything. And it is all customizable. Totally cool!

What is also neat about it is you can control it by just tapping the ring on the outside. Saylor loves that part, haha. I also love the way that it looks, and you can change the look of it with these awesome slip cover type things!

I hate to break it to Saylor, but when this baby comes next month, I’m stealing this from her and using it in the babies room, haha! Another really cool feature that it has is the ok-to-wake indicator. You can make it turn a specific color when it is ok for your child to come out of their room in the morning…if you have a problem with too early of risers! Such a good idea.

You can buy the Hatch Baby Rest HERE, and shop all their other awesome products, HERE. You can also see my favorite coverlets HERE.

Let me know what you think! Happy almost Friday!

The Best Sheets Ever!

I am about to change your world…especially if you have kids. Not kidding! If you have never heard of QuickZip Sheets, go visit their site now. QuickZip sheets are a 2 piece fitted sheet. Once installed, the base remains around the sides of the mattress and never has to be removed. The zip on sheet then zips off and on SO EASILY. It is seriously so quick and convenient. Changing sheets now takes less than a minute, rather than many minutes. The struggle of trying to get the fitted sheet around the mattress is a thing of the past! Read HERE for more on how it works. I promise you this is revolutionary and great for teaching kids how to help out! Saylor loved being able to change her own sheet and zipper it all the way around.

I got THIS 2 piece starter pack, with THIS extra zip on sheet which is SO SOFT! Saylor loves the minky feel and keeps talking about how soft it is. I’m so excited to use these sheets on our crib when the baby comes…you can shop all the crib ones HERE.

I also wanted to mention how important it is to use sheets properly, so our littles can be safe. You can read more on that HERE, but please don’t take our little loves safety lightly, and always read the directions and warnings on any products we use for them!

We love our QuickZip sheets and hope you guys try them, too! Let me know if you have any questions and be sure to enter my giveaway on IG!

Easy 2 Ingredient DIY Slime Recipe!

Another slime recipe! I know, I know…but it is SO popular right now, so easy, and it keeps my toddler entertained for so long. Honestly she played for almost an hour and a half by herself this afternoon after we made it. Can I get a hallelujah?! If you are a mom, you know how nice a little quiet time is. Anyways, I am going to tell you the recipe I used to make my slime, and how I will make it next time. I probably made a few “mistakes” (the slime still turned out totally fine), but next time I make it I will do a few things differently.

Recipe that I followed:

1/4 C water

1/4 C white craft glue

1/4 liquid starch

optional: food coloring

I combined all ingredients together and started mixing. Immediately I could tell that it was going to be super runny, and not exactly the best slime. I tried using a whisk to help combine the ingredients but it didn’t do much. Saylor loved playing in the goo but I was getting nervous about getting food coloring everywhere. This is where I blame pregnancy brain, but I thought it would be a really smart idea to use paper towels to remove the excess liquid…not even thinking that it would completely stick to the paper. FAIL! Haha…it did help and luckily I was able to salvage most, but I don’t recommend that method. I don’t recommend using water at all for this recipe.

THE RECIPE I WILL FOLLOW NEXT TIME, AND THE ONE YOU SHOULD FOLLOW:

1/4 C Liquid Starch

1/4 C Elmer’s Glue

2 drops food coloring

-mix together well and enjoy. Avoid clothing! Store in an air tight container and it will last for a long time! This recipe is a good amount for 2. Double, triple, etc according to how many you want to make for. Enjoy!

Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think of it!

Girly Accessories!

As most women do, and especially those with daughters, you can imagine that we love our accessories over here! Give me all the cute bracelets and bows and anything else girly and cutesy. Having a daughter to dress up is THE BEST and I can’t wait to have another little one here in a few months. I’m totally going to be that Mom that dresses them the same…so sue me?! 🙂

I recently discovered Gems by Laura and immediately fell in love. All her pieces are well made, timeless, and beautiful. She is also local (to me), which I love!

The 2 that Saylor picked out are the Blush Baby Bracelet and the Mini Freshwater Pearl. They go with everything and are the perfect accessory for any outfit. They also make and sell necklaces for us ladies, which can be found HERE. I love them all!

Real smile, or fake? You decide haha.

What are some places you mama’s like finding accessories for your littles? I’m always looking for new shops!

Benonite Clay Wonder Face Mask!

Have you guys seen the amazing 2 ingredient face mask recipe going around that is super popular right now? Well I finally decided to purchase the stuff and give it a try! I was so excited. The only two things you need are benonite clay and apple cider vinegar. I did some research and the ones that I bought have seemed to be the favorites (see bottom of post for purchasing links). This mask supposedly is great for acne, exfoliating, can help reduce the look of scars, unclogs and shrinks pores, helps draw toxins out of your skin…seriously just Google it and you will want to try it!

If you follow me on IG (@robynmeacham), you have seen that I just eyed the recipe. All it is is equal parts clay and vinegar, and use a non metal bowl and spoon to mix! I always use way too much, so I think about 1-2 Tbsp of each is a good amount.

I put it on fairly thick, and used to spoon for application. Your fingertips are fine.

As it dries, you will feel it tingling and tightening. I would recommend starting at 5 minutes if you have sensitive skin, but if you aren’t sensitive, you can wear it up to 30-45 minutes! Use lukewarm water to remove it, and slight redness after is normal. I’m going to start using it once a week, and then work my way up to 2 or 3 times a week! Have you tried this before? I haven’t met anyone who has tried it that didn’t love it! The ingredients are super affordable and they will last you a long time, so go for it!

Toddler Meal Ideas with Amara

I know I have touched on this before, but I *try* to be semi healthy and instill good habits in Saylor. I’ll be the first to admit that I love sweets and don’t ever deprive myself, but I always do eat a good amount of fruits and veggies and be sure to drink plenty of water.

When I discovered Amara, I was immediately interested. Especially since I’m having another baby, I’m starting to think about baby food (what?) and things like that. Amara focuses on healthy food, and not much else. They don’t add anything you can’t pronounce, and it comes in a convenient packet. They also have discovered a new way to offer baby food…freeze dried! Super cool. It locks in nutrients that can otherwise get lost.

There are a lot of different things you can do with their food other than making it into baby food. You can add them to smoothies, applesauce, and even make pancakes…which is what I did tonight! Saylor loved helping me and loved the end result. Here is the recipe for Green Pancakes.

Saylor wasn’t quite sure at first, but after the first bite she was sold. Be sure to check out all of Amara’s baby food options HERE and follow them on Instagram HERE.

Talking Sleepwear with You! Lingerie

Does anyone have a hard time finding pajamas or bras that fit while pregnant? I’m at the point where almost everything is now a belly shirt, and all the waists are too tight and annoying. I don’t love spending money on things that I won’t get good use out of, so when You! Lingerie said they wanted to work with me I was excited because all of their pieces are made for nursing as well. I also love that this company was started by a mom, with other moms in mind! They want to provide us with affordable, cute, and comfortable lingerie that will last us through pregnancy and nursing.

I chose the maternity and nursing chemise in Raspberry. I liked the color and thought it looked so comfortable while pregnant, and even for in the hospital and afterbirth/recovery. The material is very soft and slightly stretchy, with a built in shelf bra and side snaps for nursing. I definitely will be wearing this a lot, especially as the weather warms up.

If you are looking for a nursing bra, I’m loving THIS one. If you are on the hunt for a cute matching pajama set, I love THIS one. Be sure to check out You! Lingerie for all your lingerie needs…they even make great gifts! Right now they have some awesome deals going on, so don’t let those pass! Thank you You! Lingerie for sponsoring this post.
