How to Combat Dry Hands in the Winter

Does anyone else get reallllly dry skin in the winter time? I do! Not just on my hand either, everywhere! I’ll scratch myself raw…but that is another story for a different day. Today I’m talking about how I keep my hands nice and soft, instead of dry, cracked, and even bleeding.

My first must have is a great scrub, made with a good oil base that will remain on your hands to moisturize. Sometimes scrubbing my hands too much can make them worse if I am using a crappy scrub, so this is key. This Vanilla Cream Latte Scrub from Spa Thyme is everything I look for in a scrub. It’s made up of ingredients like almond and coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and then a few natural ingredients to make this the BEST SMELLING THING EVER. I promise there is no exaggeration on that, either. Bonus, it is super affordable too!

Double Stroller Buying Guide with Baby Cubby!

Since I can now publicly talk about being pregnant and having another baby come May, I can talk about all the fun things that go along with that, yay! Enter, double strollers. Do I really need one? Saylor will be about 4 by the time this baby comes, and I honestly don’t use a stroller a whole lot with her. I’ve thought, well I could just get one that has a kick board for her, I plan on carrying the baby for as long as I can get away with it…all these thoughts that I’m sure second time moms have.

Easy DIY 2 Ingredient Cloud Dough!

I found something super easy to do with Saylor…and wanted to share! I’m a big fan of “art projects” that call for things I already have at home or in the pantry. That’s why this cloud dough was a no brainer! Here is the recipe I used:

4 cups flour

1/2 cup vegetable oil

optional: a few drops of essential oil for smell

All you need is a big bowl for mixing. Pour the flour in the bowl, create a crater in the middle, add the oil, and if you choose, the essential oil drops. Start mixing!

The Perfect Gifts for Your Littles

Hi! If you are like me, and still looking for gifts…look no further! I have rounded up a few of my FAVE things for littles. We’re talking 2 and under.

My first favorite things to gift are books. Who doesn’t love books?! Saylor has shown interest in them since she was tiny, and I love that. What is even better than books, is a book subscription! What I love about Bookroo is that your subscription is based on age. You pick 0-2 and 2-6. Pictured here is the 0-2 option, and they are board books which is great! You get 3 books each time for 0-2, and 2 books for 2-6. Use code ROBYMEAC for a surprise at checkout!

Gift Ideas with Nystrom Goods

Hey guys! If you are like me, you tend to put your Christmas shopping off until December hits. I don’t know what it is, but I hate hoarding gifts! Anyways, the past few years I have made it a point to try and shop small, and support local businesses for at least some of the gifts that I give. This year I stumbled on Nystrom Goods IG page, and instantly fell in love! They create unique, modern, concrete planters that just add the perfect touch to every home.

Here are 2 that I received. I love them and love the little touch they add to my kitchen! They are very sturdy and well made, that is apparent as soon as you open your package. I found the perfect sized pre-planted little succulents from Lowes and just dropped them right in!

Pit Stop at Meadow Hot Springs

Has anyone heard of Meadow Hot Springs? Or hot springs in general? Basically they are just different sized holes in the ground, that are naturally filled with cool to hot water. At the ones we went to in Meadow, UT (aka middle of nowhere), there are 3 different ones…we only went to one, which was the hottest one. The water is so clear, it really was like a big bathtub!  For being a Saturday afternoon, I was expecting them to be a lot more busy than they were. You have to drive down a long(ish) dirt road, and then you can park about 100 yards away and walk, or go down another dirt road filled with major potholes to get closer. We braved the potholes because I’m lazy haha.

Baby Shower Gift Guide!

Does anyone feel like they are really good at giving baby shower gifts? I do! Haha, honestly though, being a mom has made me really aware of what to give for gifts. Before having Saylor, I was a big giver of clothes, which don’t get me wrong, clothes are amazing to get because, duh, our babies need clothes! But, now I give gifts based on a few things. First, necessary things that you will need for a long time (IE diapers, wipes, diaper bag!). And second, things that you wouldn’t necessarily buy for yourself, things that you wouldn’t think you need, or things that you may not have heard of (IE DockATot, Solly wrap, Milestone Cards).

New Shoes for School!

Growing up, back to school shopping was always the best, right? Well now that I have a daughter that is in (pre)school, I get to do some back to school shopping! Not that you really “need” anything at 3 years old, but it is still so fun to get new things!

Have you guys heard of pediped? Back when Saylor was first starting to walk, I was introduced to them. They are known for being the best flexible, soft-soled infant shoes to learn to walk in. They have a wide range of different styles, and are exceptional quality. We love our “Silver Shoes” as Saylor calls them, and I love that I don’t worry about her little feet being uncomfortable. Be sure to check out my Instagram where you can win your own pair!

Reading & Bookroo!

What mom doesn’t love books and reading? Saylor has always loved to “read” from the time she was just a little babe. Even though our babies may not be able to understand what we read to them, or read by themselves, science has proven that it is so important! It literally gets their little brains going, creates imagination and memories, and can increase their little vocabularies.

When I discovered Bookroo, I knew that it was something Saylor and I could enjoy together. It is a monthly book subscription, ran by actual mom’s! Who get it! Sometimes picking up books and going to the library can be inconvenient, so subscribing to Bookroo is a new brainer. I also immediately thought that this would be a great baby shower gift for someone who needs to grow their collection! Look at how cute the packaging is…you know I appreciate good packaging!
