Girly Accessories!

As most women do, and especially those with daughters, you can imagine that we love our accessories over here! Give me all the cute bracelets and bows and anything else girly and cutesy. Having a daughter to dress up is THE BEST and I can’t wait to have another little one here in a few months. I’m totally going to be that Mom that dresses them the same…so sue me?! ūüôā

I recently discovered Gems by Laura and immediately fell in love. All her pieces are well made, timeless, and beautiful. She is also local (to me), which I love!

The 2 that Saylor picked out are the Blush Baby Bracelet and the Mini Freshwater Pearl. They go with everything and are the perfect accessory for any outfit. They also make and sell necklaces for us ladies, which can be found HERE. I love them all!

Real smile, or fake? You decide haha.

What are some places you mama’s like finding accessories for your littles? I’m always looking for new shops!

Preggo Leggings aka The Best Leggings Ever

It was a sad day once my favorite pair of leggings started being too small for maternity leggings. Not long after that life crisis happened, I discovered Preggo Leggings. And they honestly saved my life because I live in leggings! The ones I love and live in are these basic black Mom’s Night Out black leggings with a full belly panel. I wear a small/medium and they are the perfect size and length, and totally not see through! They are hands down the best maternity leggings ever.

What I also like about these maternity leggings is that they are stretchy and slightly tight, but don’t suffocate me! That is so necessary for me while pregnant. The belly panel is super stretchy and has plenty of room to grow into! I also like these cute maternity olive moto jeans.

Now let’s talk about my cute shoes. I’m all about comfort these days, and these tennis shoes I found for SO cheap need to be in your closet NOW. ¬†If you follow any shops on IG, you have seen these around like crazy, and can plan on paying $30+. ¬†I found them on Amazon for significantly less (you’re welcome), but unfortunately black is sold out. Shop these cute shoes now (link below), and you won’t regret it! They run true to size for me. The brand is Qupid and they have a ton of other shoes for cheap too, so look around some!

Talking Sleepwear with You! Lingerie

Does anyone have a hard time finding pajamas or bras that fit while pregnant? I’m at the point where almost everything is now a belly shirt, and all the waists are too tight and annoying. I don’t love spending money on things that I won’t get good use out of, so when You! Lingerie said they wanted to work with me I was excited because all of their pieces are made for nursing as well. I also love that this company was started by a mom, with other moms in mind! They want to provide us with affordable, cute, and comfortable lingerie that will last us through pregnancy and nursing.

I chose the maternity and nursing chemise in Raspberry. I liked the color and thought it looked so comfortable while pregnant, and even for in the hospital and afterbirth/recovery. The material is very soft and slightly stretchy, with a built in shelf bra and side snaps for nursing. I definitely will be wearing this a lot, especially as the weather warms up.

If you are looking for a nursing bra, I’m loving THIS one. If you are on the hunt for a cute matching pajama set, I love THIS one. Be sure to check out You! Lingerie for all your lingerie needs…they even make great gifts! Right now they have some awesome deals going on, so don’t let those pass! Thank you You! Lingerie for sponsoring this post.

Maternity Style with PinkBlush

Hi! Happy Sunday! I hope you all have had a nice, relaxing day thus far. Let’s talk about maternity wear. For starters I should probably admit that my “pregnancy style” has consisted of leggings, oversized sweatshirts, and Uggs. I’m not kidding, LOL! I should probably be embarrassed, but it’s so cold here and with my growing belly nothing fits right anymore. At least on Sunday’s I try to give my favorite leggings a break, and wear something more stylish.

If you are pregnant, or have been pregnant recently, I’m sure you have heard of Pink Blush Maternity. They are a company that brings us affordable, comfortable, and cute clothes. I recently got this floral maxi dress from them, and I’m in love! I’ve never been a big fan of maxi dresses on me, being tall and whatnot, I felt like they never looked right on me. But when I’m pregnant that all changes haha. My dress is about 2″ longer than some of the other maxi dresses out there, so I jumped on it and I’m glad I did. I will also be able to wear it while nursing, yay.

Here are a couple of my other favorite things right now:

This lacey number is so pretty.

I love this blue color, but this maxi dress comes in many colors.

I love the scalloped hem on this one!

I really like the shimmer on this one.

And I love the chiffon sleeves on this one!

If you follow me on IG (and if you don’t, you should @robynmeacham), then you are here for the giveaway. For an extra 3 entries, head to Pink Blush and leave me a comment on what piece of clothing you would buy if you won! ¬†Remember Pink Blush for all your cute pregnancy clothing needs!

Easy DIY Fluffy Slime!

Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids? I have the perfect thing for you. Saylor has been into that gross fart slime lately, so I knew this was perfect for us. This video (see HERE) showed up in my FB feed and I thought it seemed totally easy to do! No weird ingredients. All you need is:

img_4566

In the original video I went off of, they made a huge batch, so I cut that in half. The amount of slime that I made was perfect for 2 kids, and would have worked well for up to 4 in my opinion. All you do is:

  • In a large bowl, dump the 5 bottles of glue. Then add the baking soda. Use 1/2 t for each bottle of glue. Start stirring!

img_4567            img_4573              img_4570

  • Add your shaving cream. Use about 1/4 C for every bottle of glue…we eyeballed this part so you don’t have to be super exact. Keep stirring and working everything together! (We had 2 bottles of shaving cream and one wasn’t foamy, so be sure that yours is nice and foamy! A nice scent doesn’t hurt either.)
  • Add your food coloring and keep stirring.
  • Add a few pumps of foamy soap. This apparently makes it more fluffy.

img_4575

img_4578

  • Now is the fun part. Start squirting some saline into the fluff. I thought it was easiest to do this while someone else is stirring, so you can see the consistency start to change. Keep adding until you see that it is starting to not stick to the bowl. As soon as you can touch it without it sticking to you, take it out of the bowl and work with it on the counter. Keep kneading it as using as much contact solution as you need.

img_4579

That is it! So easy, right? It probably took us about 5, maybe 10 minutes. The counters and things ended up a bit sticky, so for clean up I used a damp rag with some Goo Gone, and the sticky mess cleaned right up. For some reason the slime stuck to Saylor’s shirt, so be careful with that. It rinsed right out, it was just more of an annoyance.

img_4580

img_4587

Have fun with it and let me know if you try it! Saylor says she wants to make slime again tomorrow, but purple! Oh, I’m storing mine in just a tupperware container. We will see how long it lasts!

Jord Wood Watch!

When Jord Watches said they wanted to work with me, I was ecstatic! I have admired their unique, timeless pieces for a while now, and couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. Jord creates timepieces that are not only for convenience, but for style and conversation. #coolwatch …am I right?

Shown above is my women’s watch, in Dark Sandalwood. I wanted to really show the beautiful wood, that is so gorgeous and rich in color. I also love that this watch is very light weight, I honestly don’t even notice that I have it on! A few people stopped me the first time I wore it and asked “Is that a wood watch?”, “That is really cool!”…so basically don’t wear it if you don’t want to get asked about it ūüôā ¬†A watch can definitely make or break an outfit, and a Jord wood watch definitely helps to MAKE! It also comes in a gorgeous wooden box, which is a plus to me because I love good packaging!

Well-Liked Wednesday

Do you like my synonym for “must have” and “favorite”? I have such a way with words, haha. Here are a handful of my latest favorites:

FullSizeRender

  1. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Split Pans, in Champagne Pop and Flowerchild. My most favorite highlighter and blush combo.
  2. L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer…a MUST have! This regular mascara is my favorite, and the primer in addition to it just takes it up a notch.
  3. Kylie Lip Kit in Koko K…THIS IS CURRENTLY IN STOCK SO HURRY AND GET ONE!!! This is the most perfect shade. I don’t super love how drying it can be throughout the day, so I apply some Carmex every so often.
  4. Naturscrub Cosmetics Essential Oil Infused Walnut Exfoliator in Ylang Live Lavender. I honestly feel that everyone needs this! This particular mask is great for acne prone skin (me), it is soothing and moisturizing, and the small pieces of walnuts are the perfect exfoliators. The smell is also refreshing and so yummy! Use code FOLLOWROBYN for 50% off! SUCH A DEAL.

What are some of your current staples? Sound off!

Back To (PRE)School!

For those of you with older kids, this is all routine and old news to you. But to others with their first kid, like myself, starting (pre)school in the fall, I thought it would be fun to put together a small list of some back to school essentials! Obviously in preschool they don’t need much of anything, but here are some fun idea’s of a few things they might need.

  1. A BACKPACK! Of course. I try to steer clear of character anything (sorry,¬†Saylor!), but I love these animal SkipHop Backpacks from Target. One thing that Saylor’s teacher told me, and I wouldn’t have even thought about it, was to send them with a full sized backpack, or at least big enough for papers to fit in it. Littles can get frustrated with trying to cram everything in there.

49139799

2. NEW OUTFIT…duh! This is the best part. Gap has a ton of cute stuff right now, and they always have good sales.

Shoes, Dress, Top, Jeans

3.¬†WATER BOTTLE…spill proof, of course. Contigo is always my go to brand.

1_5

What are some little things you would throw into their backpacks? Crayons, hand sanitizer, small pack of wipes? I’ve been told a change of clothes is key, as well as a few pull up’s even if they tell you no! I have yet to potty train¬†Saylor¬†because of all the traveling we¬†have been doing, and I’m feeling the pressure of this because she will start school as soon as we get back to Utah…UGHHHHH. I’ve also read that a small family picture can help with the¬†loneliness¬†and sadness in the beginning.

Say will be in school only a few days a week for a few hours, but I am excited for her! She is going to have so much fun. I love Utah for many reasons, and there being SO MANY kids is one of them. Endless things for her to do, and us to do as a family. Other places, like CA, it can be a struggle to find things to do with and for kids, but not in Utah.

What would you add to my list?

xo,

Robyn
